Pre-Conference Training Aug 9 – 11, 10:30-17:30
Engagement. After we have successfully invited the audience to sit and listen, when then? How do we maintain engagement with them? We do this by elevating the artistry within the performance. In this intensive workshop, participants will be introduced to diverse approaches in improvisation, acting, movement and singing to collectively raise the bar of artistry individually, and as an ensemble. We’ll focus on the four elements on which artistry within Playback is built: creativity, spontaneity, presence and compassion. We’ll draw from each others’ stories and experiences so that we, as David Christian’s Big History innovator suggests, benefit from our collective learning.
Pre Conference language is English, no interpretation.
Prerequisite: Participant must have basic understanding of Playback and some performing experience
